Please tell me the promo is comming back?
Last time was August-Sept right? Really want to buy 2 of them, so SO will get 200$ from me if the promo is back

Generally a couple of resourceful people on this site have been able to post a copy of the following month's promo a few days before the current month is out.

I hope that $100 promo is coming Aug 1st... I am down to $4 of air-time. I could just buy air-time, but I am sucker for free stuff. SO does the promo usually at this time of year b/c of start of new school semester.

That's what they did last year, and I hope they do it again.
I am sure they will get good revenue with selling 100$ air time.

Let's hopr they do offer a phone with the $100 airtime....wonder if the phone will be unlocked???Anybody know if SO still sells unlocked phones...or if PC sell their phones unlocked??

The last few phones that have been bought by people on this site, are being reported as being locked.

I don't even care about the phones. I don't want to make profit. All I want is a SO sim card. I would love if they would just give a sim card for 100$.
The phone would be great just to use it as a replacement

I called the richmond hill store and they said no free phone promotion. Only 1/2 price like the July promotion. Any body can confirm......?

They probably don't give out the details about a future promotion, just the current promotion. Most stores are like that. They can't be be bothered with answering questions that might happen in the future.

i swung by a couple of 7-elevens this morning asking about this promo.
the first said they didn't know about any new promo for august. the second store claimed the promo was the same as july.
i'm not sure if he was correct. i'll probably wait a couple of days to see if head office sends a new memo to the stores....

I can confirm as well that the August back-to-school free phone promotion is NOT currently happening at the 7-Eleven closest to me.
I emailed Speak Out customer service asking if they're running the free phone promotion this year. I'll see what they say.

What I meant is buy 100$ air-time and just give a sim too, don't care about a phone. Sim is what, 1$ to manufacture?

What don't you understand? On August 1, I posted that there is no back to school free phone promo going on, so I emailed Speak Out customer service that day (August 1, two days ago) to see if they were going to have the promotion at all this year.
They replied today (August 3) saying that they were going to have the promotion around Christmas. As I clearly stated, I copy and pasted my email to them (dated August 1), and their reply from today (August 3).

I clearly stated that I emailed CS on the 1st, asking about the free phone promotion, and they replied today (the 3rd), saying that the free phone promotion will be available around Christmas. Then you say make up your mind, and will there be a promo or not? I think my post and their reply to my email was easily read.
