I am wanting to top up a phone as well. I have bought two $25 top-ups waiting for the promo. If it doesn't happen soon, I am switch more of my family plans to public mobile. They have unlimited text, few incoming calling, 100 minutes outgoing and 250 megabyte data for $15 a month, which becomes $13 a month for auto pay. You can also get $1 off per month for each person you refer, as long as they stay a customer.
Public mobile also uses bell/SaskTel/Telus network which has better coverage for me.

You can port the number when you activate it online or by logging in to the website after you activate. I had an issue porting my number because speak out doesn't have account numbers. But I was able to post an issue on there website and they resolved it quickly. Probably faster than calling and waiting on hold.

I've bought the $25 the last two months as well. However that will be the final time. After skipping Canada Day if the promo doesn't return for Back-To-School I will be taking my main cell line elsewhere.
Although the 100+25 is technically a "bonus" in practice it's been 2-to-3 times a year like clockwork for many years and in my opinion constitutes a sort of "common law" implied expectation. In principle I cannot tolerate the removal of this well established custom.
My main cell line has bounced between the $20 and $25 monthly since 2012. Although Chatr, Wind & Public have since offered Unlimited for the same price as Speakout's 300min plan I haven't really needed Unlimited for the most part and $100+$25 promo is effectively 2 months free each year.
Despite declining call and signal quality since 2019 and increasingly slow & wonky touchtone controls in voicemail retrieval, I've stuck with SpeakOut because I'm an oddball at heart and besides the $25 bonuses I liked that Mobile Data is off by default so my device's firmware, apps, mic & location module can't misbehave autonomously. This also made it impossible to receive & get billed for unwanted "premium messages " - I don't know if that's still a thing nowadays but in the early 2010's it was a concern.
However if the $25 bonus is history that is the equivalent of a 1/6th price increase for me and I'll be forced to say goodbye

OK this is a bit involved so it will take a bit of explaining:
I usually check out the Speakout promotions page fairly regularly looking for the 100+25 promo and, as you guys know, there hasn't been anything lately.
Today I looked at the main page
https://www.speakout7eleven.ca/
and found this banner
BONUS time is back!
Top up your account with a $100 top up

The see promotion button there goes to their 'Plans' page where a notice at the bottom says

Signed in and went to the Top Up page and it is indeed active along with a free SIM card offer although shipping is $17 so no deal there.
Not sure why this isn't on their promotions page but it's nice to see the top up bonus again
