Just a reminder that the $25 bonus airtime when you buy a $100 voucher expires today (May 31).

I held off applying the $100 top up until today (Jun 1st) and was surprised that I didn't receive the extra 25%. The way I read the promotion, you buy the airtime by May 31st, but could apply it until mid June with the bonus. I am going to complain.

Yeah, wasn't going to take any chances with that. Bought and applied mine yesterday, and the credit was immediately applied.

You needed to buy before June 1 but can apply it before June 15 and still receive 25% according to the fine print in the promo.

I bought the $100 top up on May 4th and applied it today, Jun 1st. I called asking why it only topped up $100 and was told the bonus expired yesterday. I'm going to call back and try and speak to a supervisor since I think I'm entitled to the 25% bonus according to the way the promotion reads...

Take a screen cap of the site promo image before they take it down. It clearly states the voucher must be purchased in may and redeemed before june 15.

I spoke to support and they gave me the the 25% ...the system isn't automatically giving the bonus, but they are aware of the web site error so they've credited me. Hopefully anyone else that is entitled, and doesn't get it, will look to these forums and know to call in to support.
Thanks for the help!

The new way of business. Short the actual marketing and only give the complainers what they are entitled to. A lot of profit in all those ignorant or non-complaining Canadian customers. Business ethics out the window.

True that...
A word to anyone calling in..the first call I made the rep was adamant that the bonus period was over. I was telling her that the web site clearly stated that the bonus ran til mid Jun and she argued that it was a mistake and suggested I call the Petro Canada head office (in charge of advertising) and complain to them. I stood my ground and insisted on having a supervisor call me. Hopefully anyone calling now won't have to go thru all that...

We have to argue with them to get what they said we are entitled to (and they are blaming on Petro Canada)? That's not good at all... I guess they are starting playing tricks on their customers (e.g. disappearing airtime, the 25% bonus and who knows what) to get more profits. This is not a good business practise at all. Too bad....

You have to watch everyone these days, we're still lucky to have an affordable option like SO and can survive a mistake or two. They're not nearly as bad as the big two, lol. Click on the image to zoom in and see the June 15 deadline.

I agree and don't think it was deliberate. Probably they just never bothered to spend the time and money to change the automated system to accept the post dated vouchers, and figured they would just let customer service handle the handful of people that complained. Problem is the neglected to let the customer service people about it.

I find it odd that Speakout doesn't advertise very well. I found out about this promotion from here, and from the small banner on their site. But, how many of their subscribers actually visit their site? Probably very few. At the downtown Toronto location that I buy my vouchers from, there was absolutely no mention of the promotion.

I purchased before May 31 but only activated this week, after reading about the June 15 deadline on here. I checked my balance before I activated and then discovered like some others that I only received $100 air time credit. I called the Customer Service number and they put the extra $25 on right away. I guess it was a good thing I checked my balance first.
