Hello. I have a locked Nokia SpeakOut cell phone that I just put money on a few days ago. The screen doesn't work anymore since last night. It's just black. But the phone works otherwise.

Can I transfer my credit to another unlocked phone? If SpeakOut sends me a code on the broken phone, I can't read it as the screen doesn't work, so I can't transfer the money that way.

Thank you.

Just pop out the sim card and put it into your new phone. Your account is tied to the sim card, not the phone.

Thank you very much for your reply, but I tried that, and did not get a signal on my other phone. Maybe this has something to do with the SpeakOut phone being locked? Not sure.

If it's an older SpeakOut phone, the it might be locked. However, your credit/account is on the sim card, not the phone. Your other phone might be locked as well. If it's locked to Rogers, then it should work.

What is the other phone? It may not be compatible (wrong frequencies)
