I got the 100$ , free phone promo last year, but unfortunately the phone (nokia 1208) went through the wash. So I have been using an old siemens c56 from rogers that one of my relatives gave to me.
My airtime is now quite low and would like to top-up, but I would also like to get another 1208!
Should I go with the 100$, 1/2 off deal? get the phone, take out the sim , put my old one in the new 1208, and top it. Then go take the new sim card and sell it? Does that work? Any better alternatives?
Airtime 100$
Phone 30$
-
Sell the Sim 25$
=
125 $ airtime, one new 1208 and my contacts list intact for 105$?
Is this right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i believe that would work out very nicely, yes you get a new phone and the airtime to top up your current sim. you get to keep your number, address book etc. and sell the new sim to offset the cost of the phone, it'll be like getting the new phone for $5 !
where are you? i might be looking for a sim soon 😎

If you can wait just a bit, 7-Eleven might be running the "buy a $100 top-up voucher, get a phone for free" promotion. It might be starting October 1st, like it did last year. That way you wouldn't have to spend anything on the 1208, or you could get a newer phone like the Nokia 5130 much cheaper than usual.

I was wondering if you lived in Toronto or nearby and wouldnt mind selling me your sim card.
