After years of being annoyed that one couldn't cancel a plan in advance so that it would end after the current subscription was over, they have changed the policy. Used to be if you wanted to come off a plan at the end of your current paid month, you could either cancel early (but then it would end immediately, so you wouldn't get the remaining days), or try to wait till the end but often get caught by the stupid "feature" that the day it renews, it does so at 12:01am (rather than 11:59pm) so cancelling the day it says is too late.

This is overall a big improvement!

BUT - it apparently can't be over-ridden. So if you want are on one 30 day plan and want to switch to a different one, it says you can't sign up for the new one until deactivating the current one. But the current one won't de-activate until it's 30 days are up! I thought a call to customer service would override, but after 20 minutes on hold the customer service rep said nope, not possible. (I still suspect if may be with a different rep)
