I have a speakout cell phone using "pay as you go", and my number is Ottawa, if some one call me from Toronto, and I pickup my cell phone, do I pay local rate or Long distance rate ?

I need in Toronto just for 2 weeks, if I arrive in Toronto , can I request to change my phone number in Toronto, how much is this service?

And after 2 weeks I come back to Ottawa, during this short time, do I allow to change the number to Ottawa ? How much is the fee?

Thank you information, have a nice day.

You will pay the local rate for any incoming call, regardless of where you are in Canada.

If you are going to Toronto just for 2 weeks, it might be better (and less of a hassle), just to keep your Ottawa number.

You might want to look at a VOIP service called Fongo. You can run the Fongo app on your PC or Apple or Android smart phone, and you can get a Toronto number for free. Even better, you can forward that Toronto number to your Ottawa Speakout number, so it is a local call for most Torontonians. And all this is free.

That's a great suggestion Bridonca. I never thought of that
