Can I use my speak out cell phone to make a long distance call to UK from Canada?

If I can, which country number do I dial? 0044 or 44?

How much money per minute? C$0.45/min or ?

i don't think it covers international. In NA, it would be 01144 but SO doesn't have it. Easiest option is to get a calling card from any convenient store.
