Was trying to pick up one of the phones in a Calgary store. They had some of the more expensive phones and one of the 1661s. Tried to get the 1661 and they wouldn't let me. They said the deal was for only the 1208 or the more expensive phones.
Make sure you ask about getting the 59 off ANY of the phones. They were being a pain in the rear to me.

Try bringing in a print out of their own ad:

Get the store details, clerk name and complain to Speakout about that store.
They will inform Manager about the complaint and ask for explanation.
I had 3 complaints against OverLea/Don Mills 7-Eleven and they called me for more details.

The store I got my 1661's also said the same thing, but after she checked with whoever on the phone she sold them to me for the promo

Different regions have different promotions.
