Well I contacted a CSR and complained about the new 4cents a kb with SO , and how unreasonable is that so, the response was...
This is the cost that our provider Roger's has provided SpeakOut which runs on the Roger's network.
You are right that cost is incredibly high so we have been working with Roger's to launch an unlimited data plan in November of this year.
Keep checking back to our web site in November for our launch introduction.

Looks like petro canada mobile has it too:
http://mobility.petro-canada.c.....s/136.aspx
"NEW unlimited Internet browsing feature to access the Internet from your Petro-Canada Mobilityâ„¢ phone. Now, you can search for news, weather updates and sports highlights, or even update your social networking profile from your Petro-Canada Mobility phone."
No word about pricing

And you're not able to visit any website you want or use applications that access the internet other then the web browser. Sounds like the same restrictions as the larger carriers have when they say "unlimited internet for $7".

What sites can I visit using the Mobile Internet?
Mobile Internet gives you access to all websites that are suitable for mobile devices. From your handsets WAP browser simply enter the URL/Internet address of the site you wish to visit.
...
Note: At this time we do not offer support for mobile device e-mail applications that are built in to some phones.

Hey I dont want to use the internet on my phone and I sure dont want to pay for it if I accidentally hit the "internet" button on my V360 (which launches a browser and connects to a homepage of somesort). Will this new feature be off by default or do I need to call SO to disable this feature on my service.

the thing i want to know is will i be able to use Opera on my Nokia 5130?
most of the times with these " unlimited internet" offers you are only able to use the device's default browser but the 5130 comes with Opera as well as the Nokia browser.
on my wife's E61i Opera >> nokia browser
hopefully we'll be able to change the unlimited browsing option by the month. i could really use it in Dec when i have to pickup/drop off family members at the airport (check flight status, delays, weather) but dont forsee needing it beyond the new year.
ethan: that's a phone specific issue because you can currently surf the net with SO but it's very expensive
