

I was just looking on this page and the lowest-priced phone is $59 + tax. From what I remember, it used to be $75. This is certainly more attractive for someone who just wants a SIM card, if we say the market value for one is about $30.
Did the 7-Eleven phones recently go down in price or have I just not looked in a while?

I'd say it was well overdue.
First off, the price of a Speakout Nokia 1208 the same as PetroCanada Mobility 1208.
Second, before the price decrease there was no reason to buy a Nokia 1208, when you could buy a much better 1680 or 2760 for only $15 more. Now that the price difference is $30, purchasing the Nokia 1208 makes sense again.
