Looks like a new feature was added to the My Accounts page, Automatic 30 Day Top Up.

"Tired of manually having to top up your phone number(s)? Activate an Automatic 30 Day Top Up by the amount of your choice, and never let your account run dry.
And did we mention that you'll never miss out on a SpeakOut Bonus Top Up promotions because Automatic Top Ups count too!
From August 1 to September 30, 2012, get a $25 Top Up Bonus if you have a $100 Automatic Top Up activated*. If your billing date falls between August 1 to September 30, you will get an extra $25 Top Up Bonus on your Top Up. How's that for easy peasy?
* $25 Top Up Bonus available only with the purchase of a $100 Automatic 30 Day Top Up. Plus applicable taxes. Offer subject to change without notice. Cannot be combined with any other offer. $100 Automatic Top Up must be billed between August 1 to September 30, 2012 to automatically receive the $25 Top Up Bonus."

Too bad it's only 30 day top up ...I think the main SO appeal is that you can let it run for a full year. I would have preferred a text/email warning that my a/c was near to expiry OR running out of funds. I don't think that feature is available.

The $100 (really $125) top up usually lasts me for a year!
I agree the notice would be good. Hard to remember to check the account every few months. I can tell you from experience that the phone stops working instantly when there is insufficient money for the call. Then you have a bit of time (several days anyway) to top up before anything else happens.

If I remember correctly, if you have less thatn $5 in your account, when you call it should remind you as you complete your call.

go to your phone's calender. set up an anniversary as the day of your expiry. Set an alarm. There, you now never have to complain that you forgot to top up before expiry again.
