I'm in the market for a SIM card to get going with Speakout.
I just got my first cellphone (Rogers compatible).

I'm curious to learn from others here where all of these spare Speakout SIM cards are coming from?

I can understand how a user would get their initial SIM card if they purchase a Speakout phone + SIM card together.

But how is someone able to sell multiple cards? Where do they get them from?

TIA

I assume they buy the phones and sell them for $40 as replacement phones. You know the type. A Rogers customer is on a contract, $400 phone falls in the toilet, Sim is fine, needs a new phone, but will only pay $40 or so. The speakout looks like a godsend to them! 🙂 The sims are sold here! 🙂

Thanks Bridonca, that makes sense.
I also noticed that customers can order replacement SIM cards for $25.
This must be a second source for them.
What would you consider a fair/going value for a SO SIM card purchased from this board?

$25 seems to be the going rate. If you need it now, you have to pay more, if you can wait and are quick, you can get one for less. but not much less. Speak out sims still seem to be a sellers market.

OK thanks Bri.
Is this the best place to buy these SIM cards?

How often do the SO phones go on sale and is it easy to sell them after you take out the SIM card?

I would say this forum is probably the best place to buy speakout sim cards in that I do not know of any other place that sells them.

It would be less hassle just buying a sim and a nokia 1661 phone at 7 eleven and then selling the phone at your local kijiji You would be best to observe how much phones are going for at kijiji to gauge how much to sell the phone for.

Here is the latest promotion. http://speakout7eleven.ca/page.....romotions/
