I visited a 7-11 today and their display had two VM Samsung phones under the two SO Nokia phones (and I didn't know they sold others).

7-Eleven will sell phones for different providers. As a retail chain, they aren't limited to just one.

The 7/11 at bay & Richmond in toronto has been selling Galaxy 550 & 551 from Bell & Virgin for about a year now. I think I saw it at one other location. I think its the decision of each particular franchise owner wether or not to deal additional phones.

BTW I am surprised not to find some older Samsungs sold as 7/11 phones, especially if they are discontinuing the partnership with Nokia.

You'd think the S550 or original "Behold" are now old enough to be made available for discount prepaid providers like 7/11 & Petro. The G600 slide would also be welcome choice for people who dont want a smart phone but would like a much better camera and build quality than most basic phones come with.

Other than the Corby phones, Samsung got a poor reputation on their non android phones. they clued in they have to make good quality phones, even their cheap ones, after they launched their Galaxy line.

in terms of quality, I still think samsung is pretty bad, lg is worse. Sony and Nokia still beats them, hardware wise(meaning the feel, not those Mhz things).

I have a low end LG, and I think it's a great phone.
