I switched to Rogers a couple of years ago for their $10/mo 100 mb real data plan. However, as we know Blackberrys need BIS service to be functional and generic data plans do not make them fully functional.
I just started to use their new $15/mo 100 mb Blackberry data plan and my Blackberry Bold 9790 is FULLY functional now - BBM and all.
Just an FYI.

I used to be on SO UMB for about half a year on my iPhone 4S. UMB crippled the data and I wanted more than just TCP port 80 & 443. iMessage was one of my most used apps which would not work on UMB. I also wanted push notifications for my email that uses port 5523.
So last month I switched to Rogers pay as you go. I use a total of only like 50 MB last month by tweaking some of my apps and turning off stuff that I don't need. The problem is iphone by default wastes lots of data doing useless stuff in the background. I spend some time figuring out those issues and only kept the stuff I need on. So the $10 for 100mb works for me. Added on $5 month for 250 outgoing text and I am set. Have a fully functional iPhone now.
My wife is still on SO because she does not use data and hardly uses her phone for calls or SMS. So the 365 expiry got $25 works well for her.
