Mostly likely...... BUT
To get the iPhone for $200, you have to sign up for a 3 year ass-raping..... oppss..... I mean CONTRACT with Rogers....
AND when you do purchase the phone, it has to be activated a certain way (at the store usually)
Regular Rogers-locked phones can work with SpeakOut SIMS, but the iPhone is not a regular phone. Once an iPhone is activated with Rogers, you SHOULD be able to switch SIMs, but the original iPhone owner is stuck paying the extra monthly iPhone fees.
The iPhone gets it data from one or two resources - WiFi and Cellular. Wifi can be free or close to it. And there is no data coming in via cellular for SO customers.

You are MUCH better off keeping your SO phone and purchasing an iPod TOUCH.
The Touch V2 is effectively an iPhone, with all the features except for the Phone, the somewhat crappy built in camera, in a slimmer package, and without the High monthly data fees.
The WIFI works seamlessly in accessing the internet and your email.
For anyone with WIFI access this is an exceptional alternative.

Yup WiFi = WLAN/WAN
This is way off topic, but for those of you that are happy with Speakout or PetroCanada but want an iPhone, an iPod Touch is a good alternative. And if you're looking to get an iPod Touch here's some info.
1. Rumour has it that a new iPod Touch is around the corner, this one with built-in GPS. This seems plausible, but who know when it's coming.
2. If you know someone (preferably a student) or if you are a student that is planning in purchasing a Mac before Sept. 15, there is a promotion that you can take advantage of. Students who purchase a Mac can get either an iPod Touch of an iPod Nano for free. Basically you have to buy the iPod and Mac at the same time, and send in your receipts, etc., and a refund in the amount that you spend on your iPod.
My GUESS (and that's all it is, take it with a grain of salt) is that the iPod Touch and Nano lines will be updated/upgraded around Sept. Whether it's before or after this promotion is over is yet to be seen.
