Hello,
I got a rogers iphone 3gs running iOS 5.01 and want to set up the unlimited webbrowsing with Petro canada mobility prepaid service. I know there are lots of discussions going on. But can't find a good instruction post and most of them are quite old.
Can any one have experience tell me what to do or give me a link to an updated instructions?
Do I need to jailbroken my phone?

Hi rivet,
Did you do a search of the forums? Even though the posts are older, they should state the same settings for your iPhone.

I did, I saw some posts about using original iphone with speakout, do we use the same APN setting for speakout and petro mobility unlimited web browsing?

there is only one setting, regardless of model. It is how you put that setting into your phone. I used the iPhone Config Utility.
and it is the same for SO or Petro can(probably rogers/fido as well).

There is a good chance you will not have to do anything if you have a Rogers phone. The settings will already be there.

Thanks all, just got browsing working using iphone configuration utility. Now is there any way to get skype working? Or it won't work no matter what you do?

I never got Skype working in any practical sense. Some jokers in Redflagdeals have said they could, but I suspect they were blowing smoke.

Hi, guys, need some help again.
My data is working fine but I constantly lose incoming calls, in many times it just direct to voicemail before my phone rings. So I thought my setting might be a problem, as I set the name as "petro canada mobility" but identification as "www.speakout.wireless". I was trying to correct "www.petrocanadamobility.wireless" in iphone configuration utility. So I delete the original profile, but I can not install any profile correctly using iphone configuration utility any more. When I click install, it just says "value can not be found, parameter name: cert"
Now my phone does not work at all with anything related to the sim (data or voice), only wifi works. I have jailbroken my phone, could that be the problem?
