Just purchased a Petro Nokia 1208, manual is pretty sparce. Phone is easy to setup by just following the menus. One question it came with what appears to be an antenna or an adapter marked CA-44, any idea what it is actually for, doesn't show it in the manual.
The CA-44 is a charger adapter. Since the Nokia 1208 uses a smaller charger plug-in than most other Nokia's, they included the CA-44.

The phone can still have a ring if the vibrate feature is on.
The phone can ring and vibrate, or just vibrate when a call comes in if you turn the ringer off.
With the vibrating alert option, you can set it to rhythmically vibrate, to vibrate then ring, or just vibrate along with the ring.
That's a handy feature if you are in a place that frowns upon loud cell phone ringers, such as a library.
You are welcome, and Happy New Year!!

Anyone know if it is possible to lock the keypad of the Nokia 1208 to avoid pocket dialing ?
Thanks
Yes, and I use it all the time 🙂
You press the top left button, (the one right above the green call button), then press the star button quickly after that (Bottom left button).
That will lock the keypad. Just do the same when you want to unlock it.
