Shouldn't I be getting charged for long distance on the unlimited plan? I've made a couple of short long distance phone calls out of province yesterday and today, and nothing has been deducted from my balance. I just switched to it yesterday.
Their website is somewhat ambiguous. They list it as including unlimited local minutes, but only list extra charges for phone calls to the US. I've read in other threads that people who signed up after the end of September were getting charged for long distance, though. Have they changed something recently?

From the website describing the Unlimited Plans (http://mobility.petro-canada.c.....s/531.aspx) under Out-of-plan Service Rates it states:
Long distance calling rate from anywhere in Canada to anywhere in the US is 25 cents per minute.
I think you are quoting the following line where it talks about Outgoing text to the US or International.

Right, I totally misread it. Looking at their FAQ under 2. The Plans:
g) What are your local and long distance calling rates?
The Monthly Plan:
Local calling rates are 30 cents/minute
Long distance rates are 25 cents/minute on top of local calling rate
The Anytime Plan:
Local calling rates are 25 cents/minute
Long distance rates are 25 cents/minute on top of local calling rate
Note that long distance calls can only be made from within Canada.
I would assume that this is all included? I guess a call to customer service is the only way to get a proper answer.

I'm guessing that the promo for Canadian calling on all monthly plans must apply to the unlimited plan, as well. I guess I'll see if it still works that way in a month. If it sticks, this probably makes the $50/month plan the best deal out there for unlimited long distance, texting, and data.
I tried to phone customer service to ask questions about the unlimited plan before, but they told me that it doesn't exist. I assume the same reps service Speakout and Petro Canada customers.
