Can someone help an old lady out lol. I got this for emergencies and use it for work sometimes too, and it's been a good deal for me. HOWEVER I've lost my charger and will need charging up very soon. I was at Best Buy today and all I could see were the high tech stuff e.g. for Blackberry, etc and had trouble finding staff for help. Checked The Source online and didn't find anything helpful there either.
So I came here where I first read up about Speak Out to help me decide and hope I can find some good advice and suggestions. It might be a simple solution to many of you, but I am one lost puppy. What to do, what to do...
I also ran across an article on line about a recall of these chargers as well. True?
Would appreciate any help. Thank you

What you are looking for is a Nokia AC-3U Charger. You do not have to be all that picky when it comes to Nokia chargers. If it fits in the hole, it should work.
As for the recall, that happened a few years ago, not likely much of an issue now. If you stuck, I can sell you one of mine for $15, but I am on Halifax, so it would take a while to get to you. Hopefully you can find a cheaper and closer source.

Just a quick look and I found an on line retailer selling the charger for $8. http://www.1800mobiles.com/nok.....arger.html

There are usually several Nokia chargers hanging on the junk rack in the local Value Village here in Victoria, and I've seen similar stuff in the VV in Nanaimo and one or two VV stores in Winnipeg. They are usually priced in the $4.99 to $9.99 range. I've also seen them in Salvation Army stores for similar prices..
As bridonca says if it fits the socket, it will likely work. Most used stores will let you plug the charger in somewhere to verify that it works.
If you are over 60 Value Village gives you a 30% discount every Tuesday. The Sally Anns here in Victoria give a 20% discount to over 60's on Tuesday as well.
I've replaced a couple of Nokia and Samsung chargers for friends with ones that cost me around $5.00 including tax.
There are always Mini USB chargers there as well that will work with several Motorola and Blackberry phones.
My friend is actually using an older Nokia Flip phone on SO that I got at Value Village for $9.99 minus the 30% plus hst. It didn't have a charger, so the charger doubled the price
