My area code is 403. The card was purchased on July 22.

The card has never been activated. You should be able to activate to your own area code. You shoulld be able to port a current cell phone number if you wish. Possibly read throught the forum(s), or have a look at the Petrocan prepaid phone website. You will need an unlocked cell phone.
