I'm sure that no one will buy the phone without the SIM! Anyway, the card only would be $40.

I read somewhere (I believe it was the Speakout website) that you can buy the SIM-only from Speakout for $30.
That means that people can buy the phone-only and get a brand new SIM/phone number for $30.

That'd be interesting to find out where you read that because I'm pretty sure that's not possible.

No you can not buy just a sim from Speak Out.
However, if you accidentally change the security code on your sim, and your sim card is rejected, you are able to buy a replacement sim card for $25.00, but only upon verification of an active Speak Out account.
That way someone can't just a buy the sim only, they have to prove they have an active account.

The phone and SIM card still for sale but the price is lowered to $50 as only $6 are left on the card!
