Hello all,

I live in the Netherlands, Europe and will be visiting Canada for work in about 2 months. To make it myself and people I need to talk to easy I'm looking at a simcard with credit on it. I don't know which area code is the best for the Victoria/Vancouver area but I belief you are all the experts for this.

Who is willing to sell and send me a card to Europe? I can pay through Paypal.

It might be easier just to buy one at the store when you arrive in Canada.

Buy it online or go to the local store when you get to BC

there are quite some 7-eleven in Vancouver area(you need to visit before heading to victoria) but not all of them carry SIM card, some only has phone(with SIM).

credit is simple, all 7-eleven sells credit.

There are also other pre-paid options and if you are using iphone, just go to apple store in oakridge mall (a stop of canada line that links airport and downtown vancouver) or apple store in down town and just ask them to give you one then activate it on a prepaid plan of bell/telus/rogers. Again, credit can be purposed almost any where.

The SIM from apple store is free, usually.

Ok thanks a lot all. I just wanted a sim upfront because when I'm on the airport I have to drive to a company to meet the owner. I have to contact him during the 2 hour trip where he's at and maybe some directions. Wondering why the advice of perhaps a telus, rogers or bell card? I thought 7eleven was the best deal? I hope to come back in about a year and perhaps stay forever in Canada and would be glad to keep the same number so my contacts may remember it for future bussiness.
