Hi
Does anyone know if the Nokia 1680 comes with a mini USB cable to download photos etc, and is the phone unlocked to allow it?

Not only do I doubt that it will come with a USB cable to download pics or anything on or off the phone, I doubt you can even connect it to a computer.

Nokia doesn't mention anywhere that you can hook it up to your computer, so I doubt they'll include a cable.
But, if you do a search on Ebay, you can find some 3rd party cables and software. So, it should be possible, even if it's not "Nokia-approved".

thanks for that, curious, it doesn't mention, or show, the mini USB socket that I can see on the display phone.
From memory, it seems smaller than the one on my camera, gonna go check it out and see if there is a cable in the box.

There's no cable in the box, and I think the cashier said "only let authorized personnel use this" or something. I want to put some music on too, and download some pictures...

First you need to determine the Nokia part number for the cable you need. Then use Google to find vendors that sell OEM versions cheaply, e.g. Nokia CA-53 Compatible USB Data Cable. N.B. I have no idea if this cable will work with you phone. It's just an example of what's out there.
