2670 keypad question

I have a 1600 that I just bought for my mother in law and am contemplating getting the 2670 for myself. However, I noticed that on the 1600 the keypad is pretty cheap feeling, quite plasticy, so to speak.

Is the 2670 keypad better quality than the 1600?
