hey guys,

I have done countless hours of research on this, trying to figure out a way for my Nexus one to check HTTPS sites in the browser. I am an avid user of Google Voice (I am visiting canada right now) and even when I am connected with EDGE, GV app doesn't work on my N1, neither does Gmail.

Am I correct in assuming that I will never be able to get connectivity for my Android apps? So should I just stop researching and give up?

From what I understand from people who are much smarter than I about stuff like this, Rogers proxy simply won't allow https traffic. I don't think that there would be anything that you could do to your phone that would change that.

set the https settings the same as http, right down to port 80, a lot of apps do not like https using port 80, but the google apps have no problem with it.
