Not as simple as it sounds!
Until April I am in Mexico and am in a small predicament. About a week ago the Local Cellphone company did a complete factory reset on my iPhone and I lost all my contacts, APPS etc. Fortunately also having an iPod and iPad I was able to restore the iPhone contacts and APPS with a few hours work.
Bump and Shak2 u are two programs I used. Plus one other program which avoids iTunes altogether.
There is one APP ( VIBER ) though, which I can not restore. In order for it to work I need to re-register and they will send me a code by text message and with S.O of course can not access the text message from Mexico.
Is there a way for me to retrieve a text message from my S.O number without actually being on S.O ?

Why don't you install an app like Text+, which allows you to send and receive text messages over wifi (or data). They will assign you a Canadian phone number for your account. Just provide the Text+ number to Viber.
This might also work with Fongo. You can't sent sms messages without buying a subscription, but you can receive them.

From what I understand, you want your Viber info back. I think the only thing you can do is talk to Viber and see what they can do for you. One would hope the service is tied to something more than a phone number.
Thanks, but there is no phone nor email support for Viber. Only some meaningless FAQ's. I may have to wait until I return to Canada.
