So, both my old Motorola Razr V3 are done. One, the outside glass has shattered, and the other one last lost the ability to ring. Oh well. Time for a new phone. Clearly, I don't need a smartphone. I don't text, so qwerty is irrelevant. A cam would be nice as would ability to upload pics. Sooo, what is your advice, and where may I acquire online an unlocked phone that would work with Speakout? Also, any comments about those cheap Chinese phones? Help, please and thanks.

David

Those Chinese made phones are cheap (and junk). They can also be dangerous. Best to stay away from them. I see that you already started an almost identical thread here:

https://www.speakoutwireless.ca/speak/phone-features/help-please-1/

Did you try that site I suggested?

Thank you. I guess I had forgotten that url. Do you have any recommendation now that you know my limited needs? Do you have any online store recommendation that will be best price?

You can usually find the best price on eBay, or Kijiji if you're lucky. As for recommendation, just try that site I suggested, Click on the features you want in a phone, and the right ones will be listed.

I ordered this phone on eBay recently. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-Mot.....0979337389 I do not have it on hand yet, so I cannot give a recommendation, but it should be what you are looking for.

You might try Factory Direct for sourcing unlocked GSM phones.

I wouldn't trust any phone from China. They are notorious for being extremely poorly made, overheating, catching on fire, melting, etc. There is no quality controls in China, so you get what you pay for.

thank you all. On the recommendation of a friend, I bit the bullet and bought a Nexus One at Amazon for $300.
