Just received the Alcatel one touch 356 from the Speakout Christmas special. I scan through the user guide and still looking for answers on the following
1. Ring tone. Can I select from a list of ring tones or Can I load my own ?
2. It comes with ear bud. I think its for radio or MP3. Is it also used for hands free calling or answering ? It has no blue tooth support. How do I do hands free while I am driving.

I think you need another phone if you plan to use it for hands free.

I think you need another phone if you plan on using ringtones.

The Alcatel one touch 356 is a very limited phone that should spend most of it's time in a glove compartment of your car until it is needed. It is a better than nothing freebie, but that is about it.

One more recommended use of Alacatel is a first phone for a tween.

The full keyboard makes texting easy and the pay-as-you-go nature of the billing teaches her she has to get a job babysitting or whatever to pay her phone bills.

I got a free one with the $100 top uo in December. The keyboard looks tiny and crowded but in practice its surprisingly good. The buble-like keys are very tactile and sort of fun to touch.

I still haven't decided what to do with it but I like the punchy alarm and I might keep it just for that.
