I just had to ask.
My one-year anniversary is coming up and it's time to either buy a new card for this phone (sorry... don't know the model number but it was offered with the 2007 $100+free phone offer) or start looking around for another phone.
I'm really OK with basic but I have to admit that I really didn't like having to spend a lot of time putting contacts into the phone's list.
I have a Mac and use the Address Book application for my most up-to-date changes (then I can just download 'em onto my iPod).
It can export a mass vCard file or use 'A to G' to create a .csv file (I've used it to import my Address Book into my gmail account).
But, short of buying some cable or having bluetooth abilities, I'm not sure how the current 7-Eleven phones match up to my needs.
Suggestions?

I don't think the basic Nokia phones will let you sync contacts however,
1. You can buy inexpensive SIM backup devices that may come with synching software. I'm not familiar with this but perhaps someone else is.
2. You could buy an unlocked GSM phone that has the capability to synch contacts. I think most of the quadband Motorola phones like the RAZR can do that with a USB cable and some inexpensive software.
IOW it may not be necessary to switch from SO to someone else, if you're otherwise happy with their service.

Dunno if you're considering anything expensive or not, but I use an iPhone on SpeakOut. It syncs pretty easily with my Macs.
But here's a list of other devices that should sync out of the box:

Lots of Motorola, Sony Ericsson and of course, Nokias. If you can find one of those unlocked, it will work just fine with iSync and with your current SpeakOut SIM.

Also, http://europe.nokia.com/mac/isync/ lists other Nokia phones that can sync with Apple iSync using a plugin.

I have the new SpeakOut Nokia 5200 and it syncs via Bluetooth with my Mac. You have to do a small hack to iSync on your Mac, but it'll take five seconds and it's painless.
