Does anyone know if the Nokia 1616 is unlocked? I am hoping to use my Bell Mobility LTE simcard in it on the days when I don't want to carry my huge smartphone around.

All phones sold in the last couple of years have been locked, including the 1616.

Bell does not do GSM, so even if unlocked, the Nokia 1616 would not work on the Bell/Telus network. Bell/Telus does 3G HSPA, LTE. and of course, legacy CDMA.

Speakout uses the Rogers network, which also supports 3G and LTE, in addition to 2G GSM.
