I have a Samsung Focus running Windows Phone Mango 7.5. Originally from Rogers but unlocked (I know I didn't need to unlock it) and running on speakout with data. I did the APN and everything works (gmail push, browsing, apps etc.) except Bing Maps and Google Maps. The apps work and see my location but won't render the map detail, and google maps is just blank.

Anyone have any idea how to get maps working???

Thanks

There is no data with SpeakOut, just unlimited browsing.

At a beginning I had the same problem. Then I followed instructions from XDA forum and converted my Bell Windows Phone to Australian version. That enabled some settings that were not available through Bell version of the phone. Since then I had maps and all apps working great.

Unfortunately recently Rogers closed some ports for Speakout users so maps and some chat apps like WhatsApp are not working anymore over data plan. At this moment there is no workaround for this since some specific settings are missing in Windows Phone APN options. Those settings are there on Android and my wife's Android phone is able to see maps on Speakout plan but those chat apps are still not working.
