Hi Everyone!

I Feel like smacking my phone against the wall!

Here's why!

I just purchased an iPhone 4 yesterday, It is locked on the ROGERS Network here. I cut my Speakout SimCard to size, However every time I seem to put it in the phone it gives me a message "NO SERVICE"

I also went to Settings > General > About > Carrier > NOT AVAILABLE.

What do I do?

I am running on version 5.1.1 with baseband 04.12.01.

Could I have cut it wrong? That can't be! It searches for the network than says "No Service!"

PLEASE HELP!

Have you seen it working before? I had an (unlocked but still) iPhone 4 and used a SIM cutter to cut the cards I had down (T-Mobile US as well as SO) and had no problems. If you get it working you need however unlockit.co.nz to get the correct APN settings for internet.

So I would try to get hold of a Rogers SIM and test if the phone is working if you haven't done this already.

I have tried a Rogers Sim, It works on that. When I put my Speakout Sim. It right away says "No Sim" after adjusting it multiple times, It then says "No Service"

I did Home Cut my Sim. It also does not fit 100% on the sim tray. I am not sure what the problem is.

if you cannot read the sim card info, it is most likely a cut issue.

Ok, If I happen to purchase a new Sim. Will my old Value plan be transfered over?

Just call SpeakOut customer service and they will take care of it.

I can recommend purchasing a SIM card cutter, even if it is only for using it once. After cutting and nail filing down my micro SIM to nano, I have to say that using a cutter is way more precise.

However, I have cut down a total of 3 SO SIMs to micro using my SIM card cutter and they all work fine.

I also had a SO SIM in a Rogers locked Samsung Android phone and that worked fine, so I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work in your iPhone 4S.

yup, 5 bucks for a cutter worth the money. mine also came with 2 micro->standard holder so i can put my bell micro-sim for ipad back into my android phone.

beside, the cutter preseve the standard SIM surrounding thus it can still be swap between android/iphone. DIY makes this impossible.

I think I have come to the conclusion, Buying a new Sim Card and a Micro Sim cutter seems like a good idea. I will get on that as soon as possible!

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED.
