I can confirm that I used my unlocked iPhone 4 with SO sim cut to microsim size. Also, the data works the same as it works with iPhone 2g and 3gs.
Could your itune in your PC accept the sim card when you connect iphone 4 with PC? I mean, could you transfer docs between iphone 4 with pc now?

You'll find many tutorials on the web as to how to cut down a SIM, Google is your friend.

If you are to clutzy with a knife, then you can buy SIM cutters to do the job.

These usually come with an adapter to you can use as a regular SIM or a microSIM.

not sure exactly what you are asking. iTunes will transfer all your video, photos, music and contacts. If you want to transfer other types of files, you will need to jailbreak, or get some desktop software like PhoneView.
Thanks bro, I got it. I am a newbie, all I encountered is that My iphone 4 is unlocked but sim card is not accepted. But it is solved now. Now I could sync the phone with my pc without problems.
Thank you very much for your explanations.

Excuse the newbie question... I believe one of the phones that SO sells (Nokia 5130) uses a microSIM. Would it not be safer (for a klutz like me) to phone customer service and request (buy) a micro SIM rather than fiddling around with cutters?
And also, does anyone know for sure if the iPhone 4 and the iPad use interchangeable SIMs?
cheers
George

That would be easier, but speakout will not sell you a sim. You'll need to buy the phone to get a sim.
I am already a SO customer. My understanding is that I can get a replacement SIM for $25. My question is whether I can order a microSIM rather than a regular SIM that my current SO phone has.
Thanks

Well, if it works, that's good to hear, I hope to order a replace one too. But the point is, is that possible for both sim cards to work at the same time? I think SO would just suspend yr old one and only one card works at all time. Then it is meaningless to "order" a new one: by cutting a regular card then save you $25.00, would that be easier?

If my future usage justifies upgrading to a better phone than the basic 1661 that I now have, I will not care that the original SIM is deactivated.
It boils down to the fact that I don't trust my skills with an xacto knife.
cheers
