Hello,
I've just found out about 7-11 phones (and about this forum). The prices and plans sound good, but there's one thing I wonder if some of you who already have phones from 7-11 can answer for me. Where are the phones made?
I've heard horror stories about how workers in China are treated, and my wife and I are trying as much as possible to avoid buying products made there.
I know there are a few different models of phones offered by 7-11. Can I ask those of you who have some of these models to check, and reply back with the answer?
Thank you.

Sadly, your thinking is a bit naive, and frankly, wrong. There are also decent factories in China, so it would be a bit foolish to ban a whole country, especially a country that makes most of your goods and components.
If you want to improve working conditions in the 3rd world, you would best to target certain companies. Right now Foxconn is getting quite a bit of heat for the way they are treating your workers, and because of it, working conditions and pay have improved.
As for the speak out phones, I am not sure, because, you can get Nokias built in Mexico, Romania, Finland, Korea, Pakistan, India, and China. I am sure I missed some countries. It is a moot point, because it is still extremely likely most of those Nokia parts were made in China.
