Has anyone out there rooted and "upgraded" their Android phone to CyanogenMod 7? I'm using a former Telus Motorola Milestone with Android 2.2 Froyo. Now that I'm running CyanogenMod, I'm looking for some advice.
A) Which "must have" apps (rooted or not) should I have now that I've freed up my memory? I've searched quite a few websites and there's the usual suspects (Titanium Backup, Juice Defender, etc) but I'm hoping for some real down-to-earth in the trenches user feedback as to what's really "needed".
B) I've come across a few new issues with the phone since I installed CyanogenMod. I just wanted to see if anyone else has come across the same thing. #1 - I can't seem to send files via Bluetooth from Astro File Manager any more. #2 - the flashlight apps doesn't turn on my camera LED flash consistently.
C) Does anyone know how 100% compatible CyanogenMod 7 is with all the apps out in the Android Market? I've come across some apps that just don't seem to like it. Of course, now it's hard for me to know how well they worked on Froyo.
Overall, Wow! I have no regrets about upgrading. It's faster, eliminated the random reboots I was getting, is way more customizable, etc, etc; there are so many more benefits than drawbacks.
Thanks in advance for your feedback and comments.
