Can anybody recommend a good service? Previously I used hotmail live alerts, but they ended that in may.
I'm trying the your10digitphonenumber@pcs.rogers.com, but it is really slow. Seems to be on a 40 minute delay.
I'll test later, but I need something more instantaneous....

A person can send a text message from their computer to your Speakout phone from this site:

You have to set up an account and jump through some hoops, but it works. I know this is not the same as Hotmail's alerts, which I regret too!

for this kind of usage, the 10 UMB seems to be perfect. Whenever you have cell coverage(thus SMS), you have data(EDGE is enough) and together with push(i.e. exchange) you get everything you ask for.
