Hi all,
I received an incoming text (probably MMS) from someone I know with a non-SO mobile phone. I know SO does not support images in text but how is any outsider to know? Anyway, when I click the image for download the busy circle keeps going forever. If I delete it, it comes back the next day when I turn on my phone and it starts all over again. I tried deleting the entire conversation with this person but to no avail; as soon as I attempt to connect with this person again, the image download presents itself again. It comes back about twice daily, each time sending me an audible alert as well, which starts to become very annoying.
Can anyone please suggest a way to get rid of this in an uncomplicated manner?
Thanks....Michel.

It will expire eventually. Otherwise if it really bothers you, get $10 for 100MB and download the image

Thanks for your reply but you misunderstood my problem. I have lots of storage. Downloading images in the text app is not supported by SevenEleven. If I click the item to download, it will show the download "busy" forever precisely because downloading images through texting is not supported. I am leaving it alone and hope it will go away eventually. But I think SevenEleven should simply ignore images and not present them to me as a download.

I may be misunderstanding. Do you have a data plan with SpeakOut? It is required for MMS

No, I do not have a data plan. I use my phone to make calls and send/receive plain texts. I only work online when I have WiFi. I agree with you that a data plan could
possibly enable MMS, but when I don't have a data plan text is supported so when someone sends me an SMS it should provide me with the text and filter out images. SevenEleven software knows my subscription type; they should reject the image part back to the sender, not let me be stuck with it.

I agree

The messages appear with a "Tap to Download" prompt. I simply ignore the message and leave it alone and all is well now.
