This topic has probably been flogged to death but is there a workaround to activate imessage and facetime on iphone 4s WITHOUT jailbreaking it?

An enterprising fellow "SMCCLAY" has found a way to do this on Wind Mobile network. Will geeks in SO please rise to the challenge?

I couldn't get it to work though. The toggle kept turning off. I tried 3 times.
