Hi,
I just tried to setup the Internet connection on Nokia 5230 and can't connect.
Could anyone post here his own working settings from Nokia Symbian Series 60?

One more question - does 3G works in Toronto downtown?
What are the settings for Android phones?

cheers,
Peter

This is what I have for my Nokia E71, another Series 60 phone

APN is goam.com
Username is wapuser1
Password is wap

The HTTP Proxy is "10.128.1.69" Port: "80"
The SSL Proxy is also "10.128.1.69" Port: "80"

The settings are the same for android phones, though to get more apps other than browsing working, you have to set them them up to work through a proxy with a program like Autoproxy.

AFAIK, 3G works in Toronto again. However, I believe You need to use the proxy settings I provided. That was optional for 3 months until recently.

You might be stuck with EDGE in Toronto, unless the phone is misconfigured to do EDGE only. 3G is a bit random as of late. Some areas have it, some don't. One of those suck it up or leave situations, sadly.
