Same problem here...
"pdp authentification failure".
I'm with Petro-Canada mobility and installed the profile mentionned above and also this one . No luck. This is very annoying. I've been working on that for 2 days...
I let you know if it works!
cheers.

You can download apps but only very small ones. Speakout has a very small maximum download size, I believe its one or two MBs. Once you hit that limit it stops. You'll have to download apps via wifi.
i tryed a bunch of different apps. is it possible that they were all too big? can you give me an example of one that works?

Thats pretty much what everybody else has to do. I have wifi at home, but could just as easily do it from itunes. Bottom line is that even if Rogers hadn't blocked the app store, it was useless anyway because of the speed and DL limit. Of course you always have other options.
- spend $25 per mont with another carrier (with a more expensive plan) for faster data service
- Put a wifi router in your home (easy and fairly cheap)
- Find a hotspot where you can do your app DLing (Starbucks and the Apple Store are great options)

YES THIS WORKS !! Kieran Huggins said:
Got it working with an iPhone 2G (original model) using the following steps (OS X):
Download the iPhone Configuration Utility (free from Apple):
http://support.apple.com/downl.....r_Mac_OS_X
Launch it.
Click on "Configuration Profiles" in the left column.
Click the "New" button in the top left corner.
Under the "General" section fill in the "Name" and "Identifier" fields with whatever you like, I used:Name: "Speakout Wireless"
Identifier: "com.speakout.wireless"In the "Advanced" section, enter the following:
APN: "goam.com"
User Name: "wapuser1"
Password: "wap"
Proxy Server: "10.128.1.69"
Port: "80"Then attach your iPhone to the computer, it will show up in the left column under Devices. When you see it, click on it to select it.
In the right screen, click the "Configuration Profiles" tab. You should see the "Speakout Wireless" configuration you just created.
Click the "Install" button next to it.
Your iPhone will now prompt you to install the profile, which should take just a few seconds.
Then you should be done!
Good luck
Kieran

BTW, just downloaded Opera Mini Browser from the app store over Speakout data. Took a while, but it worked.

I have got the browsing over Edge and 3G working but emails are not working for me. Anyone else have this problem?
PS Emails are working perfectly when connected via WiFi. Is it because I only get this wap setup on proxy port80? Do I have to configure everything to go over port80? How does one configure gmail to go over port 80?

Do you have the HTTPS configured? Instead of using port 443 as would be the default, you need to configure HTTPS to use port 80 in the proxy with the same settings as when you configured HTTP. Gmail should work through the browser once HTTPS is properly set up.

Is it not possible to use mail.app setup with imap to gmail? I would really like to have the push notifications that mail.app has.
I have been looking everywhere but there doesn't appear to be much of a solution to this problem.
I will try gmail with the web client and report the result which I am certain will be working.
