The iPhone 4 uses a microSIM, which you can make out of your Speakout SIM by cutting down according to instructions posted elsewhere in this forum and on the internet. Are you getting this error when using an adapted Speakout SIM? Or somehow managing to get your full sized one in there, since you say it still works on your speakout phone?

If it is saying "No sim", it is either because you have improperly cut your sim card down to size. (it's hard to see if the sim is making contact with the 6 contacts points of the sim assembly due to having to insert the sim into the phone)... or have you recently updated to IOS 5? I've seen people having issues reading sim cards after updating but this is mostly on the 3GS models, not so much for the 4. My suggestion is get another sim and make sure its done correctly.

1. The phone hasn't been activated. You can find a rogers store and ask them to check whether your phone can run on rogers network, then they will use rogers sim card to activate you phone. ( I did this with my iphone with this message).
2. Check the cut sim. It may need some tap on the top to prevent the short circuit. Check this out: http://wooservers.com/20100710.....d-problem/
