Just got my Nexus 7 3G last week and I managed to cut up the sim card without ruining it. Got Droid Proxy and man is it fast! its killing my Galaxy S2 on the Bell 3G

nice to hear and with the recent promotion, a 8/month unlimited plan pair with it is nice, waiting for mine.

though your bell speed seems to be slow, my iphones can get 3-5Mbps .

Thanks, that's good to know. I was tempted by the Nexus 7 3G but held out for the Nexus 4 16gb =)

With the 7 3G and speakout sim, I'm curious can you make phone calls/sms or is strictly data only?

ps. where is the 8/month plan, I can't seem to find it on SO website?

no voice call possible so far. SMS works with patches.

That doesn't hurt me as I use VOIP for very occasional calls and still have a trust and true nokia sitting around if I really need to use the trust and true GSM voice call(which is expensive to me and only for really emergency situation).

100 => 125 credit means 8.x(pre-tax, not including e.911) something a month. Then sell the Alcatel phone + SIM to recoup a bit of money to cover the tax etc.

My back of envelope calculation is 8 dollar or so including the tax and e.911 fee.

been doing this on my p1000 tab for a while now.

It is truly the best tablet data plan you can get.

Wondering If you could describe what you did. I bought a data sized sim card from them, and its grey bars on my nexus 7, not internet
