Hi

Found a lost LG Xenon GR500 Fido cellphone in. Of course the the loss was reported as the SIM was deactivated (tried calling, did not work). My question is: If I unlock it, would it be usable with SO, or would it be usable at all since it its loss was registered at Fido?

Thanks

PS. Moderator, originally I posted this in the features section,

Come on John! Please have a bit more character! You really should put more effort in getting the phone back to it's original owner. You can call Fido, and give out the SIM info to locate the original owner. Karma will reward you, and maybe the owner!

You have a point, maybe I should have. But after my car's window got smashed, I became less caring . My wife's Blackberry was stolen, Karma did not return it. Calling the phone, to try and get a hold of the culprits were going to voice mail, guess they turned off right away. Karma did not repair the damage either, cost me $500.00, my deductible. I know it was not his/her fault for losing it, just as it was not my fault for my losses.
Getting back to my original post, is the phone usable?

Wow...The feeling you get from returning a lost item to the owner + their gratitude would make you feel you are the better man. Try it. I'm not sure people would want to help you on this.

I'm not sure what getting your car window smashed has to do with returning a phone to its owner. The guy who broke your window was a jerk. That doesn't mean you have to be one too.
