Hey,

Are there any confirmed phones that will work with the $10 unlimited browsing feature that SO provides? Phones such as the LG Xenon, Samsung Corby?

Another quick question. My SO SIM card is about 2 years old. Will it still be compatible to work with the $10 unlimited browsing feature if I stuck it into a mid range smart phone (relative to above question)?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated

The LG Xenon should work with Speakout's unlimited browsing feature without issue. You can certainly use it to browse web pages. I could not coment on what else it could do.

I am persoanlly not a huge fan of LG phones, because they are not a brand known for making items of quality and durability. There is not too many gsm phones that will not work with Speakout, so you do have a lot of choice. I am personally a very happy Nokia E71 customer, we all have our preferences of course.

Thanks for your hasty response!
So just to be clear- the phone must be an unlocked GSM phone or locked to Rogers? (I know FIDO doesn't work)
My current phone is the original Nokia 1208 from SO. Would you happen to know if my SIM card needs to be upgraded or will it work with the browsing on a newer phone?

Yes, the phone must be unlocked, or a Rogers branded phone. No, your SIM card is not upgradeable, just the features added to your service are.

Thank you as well!

Ok, sorry to be so redundant, but your are saying the features I add to my SIM card service will indeed be compatible with a newer phone as well?
Example: I order unlimited browsing for my current 2 year old SO SIM card and put it into an unlocked LG Xenon.

Sorry for the double post; trigger finger

The sim card has nothing do with it (with age) in that regard. Either the account has unlimited browsing enabled on the account, or it does not. It has nothing to do with the age of a sim card. As I said above, it is all about what packages (unlimited browsing) you have bought and added to your account, and the phone's ability to access those packages. It is totally reliant on the phone, and not the sim card.

Thank you You've both been a great help!
Sorry for my ignorance. It's a big purchase for me and I just want to get it right.
