hi i have setup my phone to work with the apn settings for speakout. my problem is the icon that appears on the screen. it looks like a recycling symbol. its killing my battery live pretty fast.

Assuming this is an Android phone, are you referring to the "recycling" symbol that's in the top right corner of the notification bar? That's usually when the phone is trying to sync up your gmail acct and other app data. You can sometimes control that within the apps or if you go to Settings/Accounts and Sync, you can configure it there too.
