Hello,
I am thinking about going down to the apple store and buying a iphone 3GS. I know that at the store they are locked to a network. It sounds like people have had luck using an iphone locked to Rogers with there speakout sim card. My question is, can I just slip in my SO sim card to a new phone from the apple store, or do I have to have it activated by Rogers first. ie. do they come activated? Also, does the unlimited wireless form SO work well int he iphone. I don't want to commit to the $800.00 without having all of the information.

1. I bought brand new Iphone (about 600) locked to Fido from private. SO sim is not working. I had to unlock it, it's working well now. Not sure if Roger's ok.
2. There was Fido sim card(Blank card, not actived) in my phone. Use this card, you can active Iphone by youself.
3. To active Iphone, I have to keep this card inserted and connect to iTunes to active the phone. There is 1 year warranty after active date by apple.
4. I haven't use unlimited wireless. But i believe it should work.
Just my 2 cents.
