I'm curious if the new Skype video calling capability in their updated app works over SpeakOut, since apparently people can get 3G speeds on SpeakOut.
FaceTime only works over wi-fi, so this new Skype app video calling capability is an awesome step forward if it actually works.
I have a 2G iPhone so can't test it myself.
I do know that those with jailbroken iPhones can use an app called "3G Unrestrictor" from the Cydia repository that makes apps that only work over wi-fi and not data start working over data, but again can't try it out myself for stuff like FaceTime or Skype as I don't have a 3G phone.

I am certain skype app for iphone can do voice only, and no video. I tried mine and it doesnt do video. Did a google search and was a major gripe with most people. Or did i miss a major update somewhere?

If the new skype with video update for the new iphones is not available now, it is supposed to be happening soon. Supposed to work better than facetime, from what I hear.
I severely doubt Skype would work with Speakout data, 3G or no 3G. I would love to be wrong though.
