Hi;
I had my SIM card punched at a phone repair store. It fits well into the Micro SIM holder of the phone but when I turn the phone on the phone shows NO SIM CARD INSTALLED EMERGENCY USE ONLY.Is there any other thing that I could try other than going to a carrier with MICRO cards.
It looks like the store cut your sim wrong.

I am having the same problem with my Nexus 4. Instead i see it say "emergency calls only – speakout"
Still haven't found a solution to this problem. Speakout CSR has been a complete waste of time
Hope someone might have a solution to this…
Why would SpeakOut support a phone that they don't sell? They are not obligated to in any way.

Me too!
I'd like to get a Nexus 4 and use it on SO too but I'm put off by the uncertainty of cutting the SIM card. I don't feel comfortable doing it my self and I'd rather just buy the right one from SpeakOut.
Do you think SO will be making them available anytime soon? This seems to be the direction the industry is heading and SO surely makes money off phones other than just the ones they sell.

Your cut sim cards have a 50% failure rate and that's not an issue?
I would say that's a BIG issue!
I love my Nexus 7 tablet and I'm keen to buy a Nexus 4 phone but this micro-sim business is the only thing holding me up. SO should start selling micro sims, that would solve the problem and give them an extra stream of revenue even though they don't happen to sell these phones.

It is simple for me. I will not buy a phone that requires a micro SIM card. There has never been a more useless standard. A Micro SIM offers nothing to the customer except annoyance.

There are 2 kind of SIM card from 7-11. one is smaller and one is big, you can only cut the smaller one.
