Hello, I have a Rooted Nexus One running the latest Cyanogenmod (7.0.3).
So far, I've been trying all sorts of different apn settings, but no luck. I can make and receive calls, but cannot receive or send texts, nor data. I have a 2g/edge icon at the top bar, but web browsing doesn't work. Though I'm not quite a noob when it comes to this, I would appreciate some advice, as this has been driving me crazy for half a day now.
Also, when inputting apn settings, should I clear all of them and make a new one, make a new one and leave the others, or modify one of them to match the settings provided on the forums?
Thank you so much in advance, I will keep this thread updated if I find anything or get anything working!

sounds like different issues.
SMS should work no matter what. you need to contact SO if it doesn't.
For data, first you need to enable UMB and may need to call them as other posters said the setting may be different.
Then you need proper APN. I have no problem making my optimus one work so there shouldn't be any special things to do in Nexus One, just create a new APN and use it.
Only seeing EDGE means either you haven't enabled 3G or it is not covered in your area.

I contacted them, and they did the standard "turn phone off for 10 minutes, we'll reset things" thing. After 10 minutes off I powered on and still nothing. I can make and receive call, but nothing for text (I'll deal with data later). I know it's not a problem with the phone, seeing as it has worked fine for all the other networks I've had it on (telus, bell, koodo, etc). Are there any apn settings, including mms settings, that anyone can recommend? I recall that for koodo and some others, I had to change some apn settings before texting worked, so I do know that SMS doesn't just work no matter what.
Also, what is UMB? Also, I thought SO didn't do 3g...

the one you have is for data. But you need to enable the browsing addon by calling them. it is 10/month. You don't have adhoc data(which is good or it will be very expensive and drain you balance in no time).
SO has 3G, I used 3G exclusively for the two months I have the data plan.
BTW, I would be surprised that SMS needs APN setting. I have phones that is 10+ years old and I never bother to find how to set APN and never in one case that SMS didn't work(tried at least 10+ carrier around the world).

By the way, when I try to load a web page, it says "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access http://www.google.com/m?client.....droid-home on this server. Apache Server at http://www.google.com Port 80" It's like that with all other websites I think.
